Zarif and a fear unconcealed

Iran, Aug. 8, 2019 - At a press conference on Monday, Iranian regime Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, blacklisted by the US last Wednesday, was the symbol of a regime in disarray, entangled, and desperate, a regime that doesn’t know if the opponent is seeking a regime change or change in behavior. However, one thing is crystal clear for this clerical regime: the Iranian people and the Resistance are undoubtedly seeking an overthrow.

“Don’t write that Zarif was angry,” he told reporters during a press conference aired by national TV on Monday. “If I don’t shout, you wouldn’t hear me” he continued to say.

“They say that Zarif was angry. See, I’m laughing. I’m not angry at all. I’m not distressed at all… it was the Americans who sanctioned a foreign minister of a country in which they want to negotiate with. They sanctioned the highest authority in the Islamic Republic being the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei… if the Americans want to bully us… they should at least tell us what they want,” he was angrily shouting during the press conference.

Rouhani’s government spokesman and former deputy intelligence ministry chief Ali Rabiei completed Zarif’s comments by citing the regime’s main concern, the Iranian opposition group People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

“At no time in our history have the armed subversive plotters enjoyed the support of the White House… We, unfortunately, see a trend that starts in Tirana [the capital of Albania, where the PMOI/MEK is stationed] and goes all the way to Washington, and some even inside the country who unknowingly take positions that is a detriment to our national interest.”

This is exactly the point that has made Zarif and the regime he represents become so utterly unbalanced. The same point that the Iranian people have been waiting for during the past four decades to topple this regime.
