Kurdish Activists Arrested
Kurdish activists arrested yesterday after a wide strike occurred. Reza Mokhtari, a well-known civil activist from this region was also arrested. The local news suggests at least 25 activists had been taken away yesterday. This was an attempt to break up the general strike spreading to 28 Kurdish cities.
A video taken of the Kurdistan strike shows security agents marking shops that had closed. The meaning of this is that they are targeted for arrest. Some recalled this act, on social media, similar to what Hitler used to do. Arresting the Kurdish activists is an aim by Iran to weaken the public protests. The Intelligence Ministry plans out its arrests accordingly with great energy. Its agents know the spreading strikes are about regime change. One Iranian opposition leader, Maryam Rajavi sent a message on Twitter to all those who protested yesterday. She urged the UN to stop further killing and execution of active Kurds.
