The Mask of Democracy; Macron and the Ominous Legacy of Chirac
Today, Paris witnessed another bitter display of the French government’s servility to the Iranian dictatorship.
The enthusiastic gathering of nobles and free Iranians wearing yellow hats and vests, waving the flags of the Lion and the Sun of Iran, and placards of Neither the Shah nor the Sheikh
The violent suppression of the peaceful rally in "Place Vauban" and the arrest of freedom seekers was not merely a police action; it was a repeat of history.
Emmanuel Macron wears the mask of a "defender of democracy," while he is merely walking in the footsteps of the "deceptive Jacques Chirac".
Why do French Presidents end up in court?
It is noteworthy that, with few exceptions like François Mitterrand and François Hollande, most French presidents face legal prosecution after their term. Jacques Chirac was the first modern president convicted of embezzlement and abuse of public trust during his time as mayor of Paris.
Macron, continuing this treacherous path, is suppressing civil liberties in France to appease the Iranian regime, hoping to avoid the same fate of legal accountability. However, justice will inevitably catch up with him.
