Iran: Senior official acknowledges the regime’s role in corrupt circles in Mashhad

Iran, Aug 3, 2019 - Ahmad Alamalhoda, the Friday prayer Imam in Mashhad, northeast Iran, and representative of Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in this important city, acknowledges the existence of corrupt institutions and illegitimate profits by regime officials and insiders.
“We are facing a dilemma in our city. At a time when 35 million people travel to our city while the capacity of Mashhad is ten times lower, it creates the best market for profiting and illegitimate profits by people in power and the rich,” he said without referring to the role of regime officials in this regard.

This is one of the reasons that the Iranian regime is ranked 138 in the world in corruption and among the top countries with high inflation rates
The monthly salary of Iranian workers is less than $100. Furthermore, Iran is the only country that uses all its renewable water resources and is being pushed toward an irreversible water crisis by the government. Moreover, Iran has some of the most dangerous roads in the world and is among the top countries in road fatalities.
The mismanagement of Iran's economy has led to mass dissatisfaction and protests. The people of Iran believe they deserve better. In the past year, Iranian people have taken to the streets to reclaim their country and destiny.
