MEK Resistance Units set fire to IRGC Basij bases-October 2019
Iranian resistance units torch regime icons in different cities
Iran, October 27, 2019—Twenty-six years have passed since the election of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi as President-elect of the Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). The advances made by the NCRI and benchmark member People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) inside the country and abroad have placed this entity as the sole alternative for the religious fascism ruling Iran.
A network of “resistance units” across Iran, affiliated directly to the PMOI/MEK, is targeting regime icons and keeping the fire of resistance and perseverance alive among the people in Iran.
In the cities of Mashhad, Kashan, Behbahan and various areas of Tehran, resistance unit members set fire to various sites belonging to the Iranian regime, especially the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Basij paramilitary forces. The U.S State Department designated the IRGC as a “Foreign Terrorist Organization” (FTO).
PMOI/MEK supporters in Tehran, Mashhad, Shiraz, Khoramabad, Gachsaran, Zahedan, Borujerd and Kermanshah have been actively targeting regime icons by setting fire to banners, posters and billboards, especially those depicting images of Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini.
In Tehran, Karaj, Alborz (Mehrshahr), Mazandaran (Nowshahr), Karaj and Rudsar, resistance unit members were seen setting fire to propaganda signs and posters depicting the mullahs’ regime.
It is worth noting that any support for the PMOI/MEK inside Iran is considered punishable by death by the mullahs’ judiciary. Back in June 2014, Gholamreza Khosravi, a PMOI/MEK supporter, was arrested and executed merely for sending a small financial donation to a satellite TV network affiliated to the PMOI/MEK. “Gholamreza Khosravi Savadjani was arrested in 2008 in Rafsanjan, Kerman Province, in connection with his alleged support of the pro-PMOI (People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran) TV station Sima-ye Azadi (Voice of Freedom),” according to Amnesty International.
