Iran, October 18, 2019—Recently, in a repeat of the mullahs’ deceptive measures of publishing false statistics, Iranian regime President Hassan Rouhani and other senior officials are claiming the country’s non-oil exports have increased. Furthermore, they are citing these false numbers to back other claims of Iran’s economy improving.

According to remarks made by regime officials over the export of Iran’s national resources and raw materials, this is in reference to plundering the country’s forests and selling them abroad.
“95 percent of the country’s non-oil exports are the sale of raw material,” according to a report published on October 12 in a website affiliated to the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).
The U.S State Department designated the IRGC as a “Foreign Terrorist Organization” (FTO).
“According to Iran’s customs statistics, the country’s non-oil exports from March to September of 2019 reached 70.009 million tons of goods worth $20.948 billion. This is a 10.55-percent decrease in value and a 22.5 percent decrease in weight. Furthermore, the country’s imports during this period reached 16.567 million tons of goods worth $22 billion,” the report adds.
A simple calculation shows that Iran’s regime is selling each ton of the country’s raw material for less than $300 while paying $1,268 for each ton of import.
The state-run Eghtesad Online website sheds further light on this matter. “The price of Iran’s non-oil export goods from March to September of 2019 is even less than the price of 2009 with each ton at $162,” the report reads.
Bijan Panahizadeh, deputy of Iran’s Chamber of Industries and Mines, shared his deep concerns on this subject that is crucial and very troubling for the mullahs’ regime. “We produce 25 million tons of metal and steel, yet we cannot manufacture a simple washing machine on our own,” he said.
Morteza Afghah, another economic expert affiliated to Iran’s regime, expressed further concerns. “Our highest numbers to this day have shown $40 billion in non-oil exports. Ninety-five percent of these exports were raw material,” he said.

40 years after Iran’s 1979 revolution, the ruling mullahs have taken the country back to the Middle Ages. Iran has massive natural resources and the potential to improve the lives of all Iranians. In addition, Iran owns 7 percent of all mines in the world, the largest hydrocarbon reserves (oil and gas) in the world, 9.3 percent of the world’s oil and 18 percent of the world’s gas, and Iran itself has more natural sources than the entire EU area.
However, Iran is ruled by a dictatorship that spends all its wealth in terrorism and suppression. The fact is that Iran is ruled by a corrupt government that has looted Iranian people’s property to extend its rule.
Iran under mullahs ranked 93rd in the world in health care, in welfare, Iranian people are ranked 108 out of 149 countries and the Iranian regime is on the top of the list of countries suffering from state-run money laundering and this is one of the reasons that the Iranian regime is ranked 138 in the world in corruption and also among the top countries with high inflation rates.
Iranian workers’ monthly salary is less than $100. Meanwhile, the poverty line for a family of four is $500, according to the regime's media. Iran is the only country that uses all its renewable water resources and is being pushed toward an irreversible water crisis by the government. Moreover, Iran has some of the most dangerous roads in the world and is among the top countries in road fatalities.
The mismanagement of Iran's economy has led to mass dissatisfaction and protests. The people of Iran believe they deserve better. In the past two years, the Iranian people have taken to the streets more than ever before to reclaim their country and destiny.
