Iran: PMOI/MEK supporters put up posters of opposition leaders
Iran, October 20, 2019—Supporters of the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) put up posters of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), in cities across the country.
Members of “Resistance Units,” a network associated closely to the PMOI/MEK, are literally risking their lives in such measures. If arrested, they are most likely issued heavy jail terms and there have been instances where the mullahs’ regime has issued death sentences for people who merely supported the PMOI/MEK.
Large posters were put up in Ilam province, western Iran, with a line reading, “People should rise up to overthrow the mullahs’ regime” and “Down with Khamenei, Hail to Rajavi,” with the former referring to Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
In Tehran, resistance unit members put up a large Maryam Rajavi poster on a bridge with a line reading, “Yes, we can and we must overthrow the mullahs’ regime.”

An expansion of the resistance units' activities has resulted in escalating concerns for Iranian regime officials up and down their ranks and files. A known red line of the Iranian regime about not even mentioning the PMOI/MEK by name no longer has any meaning. With each passing day, various regime officials and outlets are voicing extreme concerns about the role of the PMOI/MEK inside Iran.
In other reports from the city of Isfahan, PMOI/MEK supporters took to graffiti and wrote, "Iran, Rajavi, Rajavi, Iran."
In various parts of Bandar Abbas, a major port city in southern Iran, resistance units' members wrote in graffiti, "Democracy, freedom, with Maryam Rajavi."
