Anna Diamond's revelation about fabricated executions in Iranian prisons

By Bahar Mehr_05 Aug 2019
Ana Dimond, an Iranian-Finnish student, said in an exclusive interview with Britain's Four News Channel last Friday that she had been imprisoned and tortured for eight months and had been mentally disturbed.
Anna says:
They left me alone for 20days, as I said before. They were not satisfied with the information I was giving. They said you don't want to cooperate with us. you don't want to be a double agent. It was at that point that they just wanted me to say I was a spy.
As I said, my accusations were not just spying. I was also accused of insulting the holy.
In my family, I had uncles who had been executed and the usual protocol is that they will transfer you to a small cell before your execution and they take you out about four or five in the morning and they do the same to me.
They said you didn't cooperate with us. you didn't tell us the truth, we are not satisfied. That is why we will execute your sentence. even if they did not explicitly say that we were going to execute you,
they said we were executing the sentence.
They put me in a van again and they were driving for about half an hour, maybe 10 to 15 minutes. But Evin Prison is a very large prison. I expected them to take me somewhere. Yes, as I said it was time before sunrise, 4 or 5 in the morning. I was blindfolded and chained to my feet. I had a veil. It's not easy to get through these moments. They took me out of the van.
At a point that I remember well because I hit the ground and the dust on the floor came into my mouth.
I felt like it was crazy you were in a desert. It was something that went through my mind and I told myself that this is really happening.
Because in the first days when I was in solitary confinement, outside of my cell, I could hear people being shot and they were screaming. This was another form of psychological torture and they kept telling me that here was the execution area. And I said I was really taken to this place. and then they took me up and we went for 5 to 10 minutes. I'm just trying to summarize that scene because I felt really long time. but they put me on my knees. And he said he was waiting for his colleague to come. It's interesting how one's mind works because I remember when we walked in I realized he had a weapon...
