Iran 40 years after 1979 Revolution
Feb. 10- Iran 40 years after 1979 Revolution:
For 40 years, a nation is under torture
Her body is bruised, her heart is aching, her eyes are wet with tears
It’s been 40 years that her lands and skies have been painted with blood
Cages have been raised, birds enchained, and daggers readied
40 years, the struggle of life with death and decay
40 years of blades and gallows and death squads
Every year, smiles were erased from faces
How many of our youth they killed in prisons
How many lives were emptied of hope
How many mothers, fathers died mourning for lost children
40 years, the struggle of life with death and decay
40 years of blades and gallows and death squads
But Iran has stood firm and has not given in
This will is fighting on and is winning
It’s been ages that the cities are filled with cries
The axes fear the blossoms, scythes fear the flowers
The streets are filled with a rebellious spirit
And the bloodthirsty executioners are afraid of this spirit
40 years, the struggle of life with death and decay
40 years of blades and gallows and death squads
But Iran has stood firm and has not given in
This will is fighting on and is winning
Know that it will win
Know that it will win
