EDITORIAL: False G7 Hopes on Iran – What’s Next? Written by Staff Writer on  02 September 2019 . Following the  G7 summit  in France, much hope was expressed in the media about the possibility of new U.S.-Iran negotiations, and that the regime’s president Hassan Rouhani may meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in the coming weeks. But recent events have shown that this seems to be a carefully crafted plan by Iran's regime to deceive the West and escape strong condemnation by the G7 -- which it succeeded in -- and nothing more. Last Monday, August 26, Rouhani made remarks to the effect that he is willing to negotiate with and even meet anyone if that could help his “country’s development and resolve the problems of the people.” Those words were used during the Trump-Macron press conference three times as the possibility for such a meeting. The Iranian regime’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, while bowing to the criminal commander of the terrorist Qods Force Qassem Soleimani, reiterated that he and his ministry represent nothing other than the ruling theocracy’s terrorist and warmongering policies. “Commander Soleimani and I never felt we have any differences. We have been working together closely for over 20 years,” he told the state-run daily Entekhab on September 1, 2019. “During the U.S. attack on Iraq, as Iran’s representative in New York, I spoke, on orders from the country’s senior leadership, to American officials and had the greatest coordination with commander Soleimani. Subsequently, when I became minister, the two of us decided to make sure we meet at least once a week when we were both in Tehran to review the latest developments and undertake the necessary coordination,” Zarif added....

Ibrahim Rezaie, head of the Majlis Nuclear Commission, criticized those calling for talks with Washington. “Those individuals who are talking about negotiations with the U.S. are naïve. Europe, on [U.S. President Donald] Trump’s request, is attempting to bring us and America back to the negotiating table. Without a doubt, [French President Emmanuel] Macron...
