Iran is among the richest countries in the world, with a wealth of mineral resources, oil, gas, and a diverse eco-system, but the majority of its people live under the poverty line. So what is the origin of this problem? Is it the United States’ sanctions on Iran? Or is it the Iranian regime’s incompetence. The root of the problem lies in the  regime’s warmongering policies  which leads the regime to plunder the Iranian nation’s wealth.  The Iranian regime’s inhumane policies have pushed the Iranian economy to the edge of destruction. 250,000 euros stashed in the home of Iranian MP Taghi Kabiri, MP from Khoy and member of the Majlis Economy Commission, had stashed 250,000 euros in his home Iran, October 1, 2019 —Following the recent disclosure of a major theft in Tehran, it became evident that Taghi Kabiri, a member of the Majlis (Parliament), was stashing 250,000 euros and 400 million tomans cash in his home before it got stolen. According to the Iranian regime’s rules, individuals aren’t allowed to withhold more than 10,000 dollars in cash, and any amount larger than that is considered illegal and can be investigated as smuggling. According to Mohammad Javad Jamali, spokesperson for the council of parliament oversight, the amount that was stolen from Kabiri’s house is enough to “sell a 150-meter apartment” in one of the rich districts of Tehran. Iran Protests: Haft Tapeh sugar cane employees continuing their strike Scene of a protest rally held by the Haft Tapeh sugar cane workers (File Photo) Iran, October 1, 2019 —In an influx of ongoing reports of protests across Iran, the workers of the Haft Tapeh Sugar Cane Company continued their strike for the eighth consecutive day on Monday, protesting the expulsion of their colleagues and demanding their return to work. This rally, held in the city of Shush in Khuzestan Province, southwest Iran, was organized despite various threats made by Iranian regime officials and the summoning of a number of workers by the local prosecutor’s office. In recent measures, the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security ( MOIS ) summoned around 40 workers, demanding they show up at the Shush police station.
