Iran’s Role In Recent Saudi Attack Amid Internal Protests – OpEd   September 18, 2019 By  Hassan Mahmoudi Amid all the calls for de-escalation, Iran was responsible for the attacks on vital Saudi Arabian oil installations over the weekend that cut the global oil supplies to half. During nationally televised remarks on September 17, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said: “Iran will never hold talks with America.” Despite enduring painful economic restrictions, in his speech on May 14, 2019, he emphasized the need for a ‘prudent resistance’ policy, to include continuing to develop Iran’s missile program, maintaining the regime’s support of terrorism abroad and blocking the protests inside the country. In his eyes, ‘resistance’ is the key to the Islamic Republic’s forty years of survival. However, for the people of Iran, Khamenei’s ‘prudent resistance’ translates into brutal suppression, rampant inflation, rising unemployment and a ruthless crackdown on all ...

Ex-Minister: Britain Must Accept That Iran Nuclear Deal Is 'Dead' Written by  Mahmoud Hakamian  on  18 September 2019 . republish on 19 September 2019 Britain must accept the Iran nuclear deal is “dead” and join America in trying to force Tehran back to the negotiating table, former UK Defense Secretary Liam Fox will say on Wednesday. Mr. Fox, who was in the cabinet until July, will use a speech in Washington to warn that the 2015 agreement was "flawed" from the start and that attempts to keep it alive are "futile,"  Britain's Daily Telegraph reported . Mr. Fox, who was international trade secretary until the summer and remains well-connected in Republican circles, will reveal his opposition to the deal today in a speech to the Heritage Foundation, a right-leaning think tank. “Following the decision of President Trump to withdraw, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is dead and European attempts to salvage it are futile," Mr. Fox wr...

Misplaced and Premature Jubilation by an Apologist of the Murderous Mullahs of Iran Written by Staff Writer on  17 September 2019 . The striking similarity in the reaction from Tehran and the pro-appeasement crowd inside the Beltway over recent changes in the White House is not a coincidence. They all have two things in common: First, opposition to a firm policy vis-à-vis the world’s most active state sponsor of terror and the leading per capita executioner of its own citizens. Second,  attacking the democratic opposition, to justify their support for the terrorist regime ruling Iran . Jason Rezaian, in his Sept. 10 Global Opinions column asserted, “The shake-up creates the first real opportunity for Trump to pursue a policy of engaging Iran.” His optimism, however, is misplaced and premature. The departure from the Obama administration’s policy of appeasement began when the new administration took office. Moreover, a cursory review of the  MEK's history ...

United States President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he had ordered his Treasury Secretary to “substantially increase sanctions” imposed on Iran's regime, in the wake of its attack on Saudi oil facilities. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo described the attack as “an act of war” against the world’s top oil exporter and said Washington wants to build a coalition of European and Arab partners to deter the Iranian regime. “This is an attack of a scale we’ve just not seen before,” Secretary Pompeo told reporters traveling with him before landing in the Saudi city of Jeddah for talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. “The Saudis were the nation that were attacked. It was on their soil. It was an act of war against them directly.” A U.S. official told Reuters the strikes originated in southwestern Iran. Three offic...

Khamenei Approved Saudi Oil Attack, U.S. Official Tells CBS News Written by  Mahmoud Hakamian  on  19 September 2019 . Last weekend's major attack on Saudi oil facilities was approved by the Iranian regime's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, but only on the condition that it be carried out in a way that made it possible to deny Iranian involvement,  a U.S. official told CBS News . Saudi Arabia on Wednesday displayed wreckage of the Iranian regime's cruise missiles and drones. The circuit boards can be reverse engineered to determine the exact route the weapons flew. But U.S. officials said the most damning evidence is still unreleased satellite photos showing the Iranian regime's Revolutionary Guards making preparations for the attack at Ahvaz Air Base in southwestern Iran. From there, the weapons flew through Kuwaiti airspace some 400 miles to their targets in Saudi Arabia. The satellite photos were of no use in stopping the attack since their significance wa...
