Phoenix Today

Image
I have always been fascinated by the mythical creature, the Phoenix. In Iran and Greek mythology, the Phoenix is a long-lived bird that cyclically regenerates or is otherwise born again. It is associated with the Sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor. According to some sources, the phoenix dies in a show of flames and combustion. Job even speaks of this creature in the Bible: Then I thought, ‘I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days like the Phoenix. Job 29:18 (NRSV) Other translations use sand in place of the Phoenix. No matter the translation or what books I read, we all can find a strength within ourselves. This thing called life is never easy. I may fall. I stumble, but God gives me the strength to get back up and rise from the ashes. The example of this Phoenix in Iran is the Mojahedin organization that has grown and reborn many times from ashes and each time sacrificing itself for the fate of the Iranian people...

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have control over many airlines Analysis by PMOI/MEK Iran, Sept. 5, 2018  -  Based on obtained flight data, the Iranian regime is using unconventional air corridors over northern Lebanon not used by normal flights. The media providing this information is citing Western intelligence sources reporting the Iranian regime has found new paths to provide arms to the Lebanese Hezbollah, a U.S. and EU designated terrorist entity. The Iranian regime is using methods very similar to the ones it's providing for militias in Iraq and the Assad regime in Syria by using passenger planes to smuggle arms and other military equipment to the Lebanese Hezbollah. Two special flights, belonging to the Qeshm Fars Air, from Tehran to the Beirut International Airport, have been registered in the past two months alone. The first flight, on July 9 th , was conducted by a Boeing 747 taking off from an airbase in Tehran and stopping for a short period in Dama...

Trump to chair U.N. Security Council meeting on Iran’s “violations of international law”

Image
by  Nikoo Amini U.S. President Donald Trump will chair a U.N Security Council meeting for September 26 on Iran to spotlight its “violations of international law” during the annual meeting of world leaders in New York, U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley said on Tuesday.  Trump is seeking an opportunity to openly discuss what the U.S. calls Iran’s “ violations of international law ” and its regional policies, from Lebanon to Syria and Yemen. In truth, at the present time, especially after Iran’s nuclear deal failure, the Iranian regime in its entirety is invested in its extensive  meddling  in the Middle East. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) plays the leading role in fueling major wars in the Middle East, including the current wars in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Lebanon. The IRGC started its strategy of meddling in the region in 1990, following the establishment of the Quds Force.  The regime’s inner circles describe th...

Gohardasht Prison Carries Out Executions

Image
by  Jolie Kavar Gohardasht Prison carries out executions, at least 30 in August. One  Human Rights  organization summed it up as ‘one execution every day.’ The  No to execution and prison organization  reminds that Iran holds the highest number of executions. This is compared to the number of citizens it executes compared to other countries in the world. Recently in Gohardasht prison, some ten prisoners have been sent to solitary confinements in order to be executed. It’s known by Iranian Human Rights’ experts that Iran executes in secret. More than a third of those executed have been carried out secretly. Some of these executions inside prison have not been announced by government media. Still, the highest number of executions count up for Rajaishahr Prison. This prison is also known as Gohardasht. It’s located in the city of Karaj approximately 20 km west of Tehran.  Since yesterday ten Rajaishahr prisoners on the death row ...

by Jolie Kavar Man sets himself ablaze this morning in Tehran outside the Town Hall. It is possible the mid-aged man set himself ablaze due to the US dollar selling at 130,800  Rial . The economic crisis is out of hand by President Rouhani’s Cabinet. He has received top official’s blows since last week and was pressured in Majlis. The Iranian rial is scraping off its ever lowest to the dollar leaving two-thirds of the population under poverty margin. The self-immolation of this man, who is now close to death, is a result of a 40 year long corrupt regime. A short video and picture were wired on Iranian social media an hour ago. Iran’s state-run media have also reported the incident. Other unrest in society since May has been the nationwide truck drivers’ strike.  The Iranians are unhappy about daily high prices and unstable markets. Most of the people are now either out of jobs  or will soon have to think about other ways to overcome the present situati...
