Iran’s reactions to global condemnation of attacks on Saudi oil facilities U.S. intelligence community released satellite images of the latest attack on Saudi oil facilities Iran, September 16, 2019 — The attack on Aramco oil facilities in eastern Saudi Arabia on Saturday , September 14, have resulted in a wide scope of global condemnations. Increasing reports are pointing fingers at Iran’s regime and denying the claim made by Tehran-backed Houthis in Yemen accepting responsibility for this recent  assault . “Iran launched nearly a dozen cruise missiles and over 20 drones from its territory in the attack on a key Saudi oil facility,” a senior U.S. official said to ABC. Keyhan  daily, a known mouthpiece of Iranian regime Supreme Leader  Ali Khamenei , wrote a telling reaction following these unprecedented turn of events. “The attack on Saudi refiners and airports that once were considered strange and even impossible have all become very possible today… The...

Tehran Regime Attack on Saudi Arabia Demands a Response

Tehran Regime Attack on Saudi Arabia Demands a Response September 16, 2019 Clare M. Lopez The Iranian regime has been escalating its aggression all year, with attacks against oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz, outright seizure of commercial ships and crews, drone attacks against Saudi oil infrastructure by terror proxies in Iraq and Yemen, and now, a direct attack from Iranian territory by both drones and cruise missiles against Saudi Arabia. The 14 September 2019 attack on two of Saudi Arabia’s largest oil processing facilities (the Abqaiq and Khurais plants) reportedly took out nearly half of the Kingdom’s daily oil output, resulting in a 5% cut to overall world production. This is an act of war, direct, unequivocal, and with no room for plausible deniability. It must be met with an equally direct, prompt, kinetic response. It is up to the Saudi government, of course, to issue a statement that fixes responsibility for the attack firmly with the Tehran regime and...

In our last piece, we focused on the key discriminations and inequalities against women, which Maryam Rajavi had gone through in her speech. Here, we will talk about Iranian women’s widespread participation in the struggle against the two dictatorships. Maryam Rajavi said: “Let me add that they have always been at the forefront of the struggle since the outset of the mullahs’ theocratic rule, and more significantly, they have been the trailblazers and leaders of this struggle. Those days, women faced more difficulties than men in joining the dem...

MARYAM RAJAVI’S SPEECH ON WOMEN IN THE IRANIAN RESISTANCE: PART 1 Maryam Rajavi , the president-elect of the Iranian Resistance, gave an impassioned speech at the headquarters of the opposition  People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI, Mujahedin-e Khalq or MEK)  in  Ashraf 3 , Albania, earlier this year in support of women’s progress in the resistance movement. Maryam Rajavi explained that the gathering, which was attended by women from around the world, would normally happen on International Women’s Day, but that any time when women come together to discuss their mission for freedom and equality becomes a day for women. Maryam Rajavi said this was particularly true for Iranian women, who are “defying and resisting against a fundamentalist and reactionary regime” based on misogyny, highlighting how women were instrumental in the struggle of against the Shah, naming Fatemeh Amini, Marzieh Uskowi, Azam Rouhi Ahangaran and Ashraf Rajavi, as specific exam...

NCRI/MEK: VIABLE ALTERNATIVE TO IRANIAN REGIME

Image
NCRI/MEK: VIABLE ALTERNATIVE TO IRANIAN REGIME  Published: 15 September 2019 The religious dictatorship ruling Iran is gripped by profound crises. There is no question that the regime's days are numbered. In contrast, the democratic alternative is flourishing. Those who benefit from the policy of appeasing the regime claim that there is no reliable alternative to this regime. They also argue that if the regime were to collapse, the world will encounter conditions that would be much worse than Libya or Egypt during the Arab Spring. In truth, however, there is a home-grown and formidable alternative to the regime. The overthrow of the religious dictatorial regime in Iran is not only inevitable but increasingly within reach. The democratic alternative has a history of standing by democratic ideals and values and paying the utmost price in the pursuit of freedom. That is why experiences resembling those of Libya or Syria are not realistic when it comes to Iran. As...
