Iran: Workers in Arak, Shush hold protest rallies & launch strikes Protest gathering of Azarab factory employees in Arak, western Iran (File Photo) Iran, October 13, 2019 —Employees of the Azarab factory in the city of Arak, western Iran, held a gathering at a city square on Sunday, October 13, protesting their employment status remaining in limbo and poor living conditions. These workers have announced a one-week deadline for regime officials in order to finalize the status of the main shareholder of their factory, being the state-run Bank Keshavarzi (Farming). On the same day, workers of the Haft Tapeh Sugar Cane company held a protest rally and outside the factory courtyard protesting the factory officials’ decision to expel many of their colleagues, bogus charges raised against these innocent workers and not receiving answers to their demands.
