Iran coronavirus update: Over 40,500 deaths, inmates & child workers in grave danger

The novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, has taken the lives of over 40,500 people throughout Iran,  Iran, May 10, 2020— Over 40,500 people have died of the novel coronavirus in 315 cities checkered across all of Iran’s 31 provinces, according to reports tallied by the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran ( PMOI/MEK ) as of Sunday afternoon local time, May 10. The official death count declared by the regime is 6,640, less than a sixth of the actual figure. The death toll in various provinces include: 6,790 in Tehran, 2,720 in Gilan, 2,165 in Khuzestan, 1,230 in West Azerbaijan, 1070 in Lorestan, 1065 in Hamedan, 975 in Kermanshah, 925 in Semnan and 446 in Kerman.
